DXB Edit is published by The Edit Network. This page says what we know about you when you read the site, and what we do with it.
Reading the site
We count how many times each page is read and which buttons are pressed, so we know what readers find useful. These counts are not tied to you: we do not use cookies for them and we do not build a profile of any reader. Our hosting company, Vercel, also gives us anonymous visitor and page-speed figures without cookies.
What your browser remembers
One small cookie remembers whether you read in English or Arabic, and your browser stores your choice of light or dark mode. Neither identifies you.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, we keep your name and email address to send you the weekly digest and nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Sending us news
If you send us a story through the form, we keep the details you give us (name, email, phone if you add one, and what you tell us about your news) so we can reply and decide whether to cover it.
Adverts
We may show adverts served by Google and its partners. They may use cookies to show adverts based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised adverts in Google’s Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), and you can read how Google uses information from sites like ours at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ticket and shopping links
Some Tickets buttons lead to sellers who pay us a commission if you buy. When you follow one, that seller’s own website and privacy policy apply, and it may set its own cookies.
Who we share with
We do not sell reader information. It is held by the companies that run our systems for us: Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database).
