7 new cars and gadgets that just arrived in the UAE
From Apple's foldable iPhone Duo to two new Lexus models and the Freelander 8, these are the launches of the past fortnight, with UAE prices where they have been published.
October has been busy for anyone shopping for a new car, phone or computer in the UAE. These seven arrived in the past two weeks; where a local price has been published we give it, and where it has not, we say so. Prices can change, so check with the dealer or the brand before you buy.
Lexus RZ 500e
Al-Futtaim Lexus has put the all-electric RZ 500e on sale in a single Platinum all-wheel-drive grade at Dh255,000.
Lexus ES
the eighth-generation saloon is here, with the ES 350h hybrid from Dh230,000 and the first all-electric version, the ES 500e, at Dh275,000.
iPhone Duo
Apple's foldable iPhone opens for pre-order at 4pm on 16 October and goes on sale on 23 October, from Dh8,499 for 256GB to Dh13,599 for 2TB.
Toyota Land Cruiser FJ
Al-Futtaim Toyota has launched the compact Land Cruiser in EXR and GXR grades, with a 2.7-litre petrol engine and part-time four-wheel drive. Prices have not been announced.
Freelander 8
the first model from the new Freelander brand, made by JLR and Chery, is a plug-in hybrid SUV sold in Dubai by Al Tayer Motors. The UAE is its first market outside China; prices have not been announced.
ASUS ProArt P16 and P14
the creator laptops are open for pre-order at Dh16,499 and Dh12,999. A delivery date has not been announced.
TCL monitors
TCL's first monitors for the UAE, four gaming and work screens led by a 32-inch 4K OLED, are in shops and online. Local prices have not been published.
