Ahmed Saad headlines Global Village's Main Stage on 13 November

Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad will headline Global Village's Main Stage on Friday 13 November at 8pm, the first concert the park has announced for Season 31.

Entry to the concert is included in the regular Global Village admission ticket, so there is no separate concert ticket to buy. As 13 November is a Friday, the Dh25 Weekday ticket, valid from Monday to Thursday, will not get you in that night: you need the Dh30 Any Day ticket, sold on the park's website and app and at the gates.

Saad has spent more than two decades in Arabic music, mixing traditional Egyptian shaabi with contemporary pop. His crowd favourites include Wasa3 Wasa3, Ekhtyaraty and Eh El Youm El Helw Da, and many viewers across the region know him as a coach on The Voice: Ahla Sawt. Expect a set built on the hits, with plenty of room to sing along.

Global Village teased the news on its Instagram on Wednesday morning with a short clip asking followers to guess who was coming to the Main Stage. More concert headliners are due to be announced in the coming weeks, as part of a season the park says will bring more than 40,000 shows and performances.

Planning your night

The gates open at 4pm and, on Fridays, close at 1am. Children under three, visitors over 65 and People of Determination with one companion enter free. The show starts at 8pm, so arrive early for a good spot near the stage. Four RTA bus routes (102, 103, 104 and 106) run to the park from metro stations and Al Ghubaiba, and the free car parks fill quickly on weekend nights.

Season 31 opened on 14 October and runs until May 2027.

What it means for you

If you were planning a Global Village visit anyway, make it Friday 13 November: for Dh30 you get the park and an Ahmed Saad concert. Buy the Any Day ticket, not the Weekday one.
