Condor now flies daily between Berlin and Abu Dhabi, all year round
The German airline started a daily, year-round route between Berlin Brandenburg and Zayed International Airport on 15 October, its first scheduled nonstop link between the two capitals.
Condor now flies between Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi every day, in both directions, Zayed International Airport announced on 16 October. The first flights ran on 15 October, and the route will operate all year. The airline says it is its first scheduled nonstop service between the two capitals.
The route uses an Airbus A320neo with 180 seats. Until 24 October, the flight leaves Berlin at 4.40pm and lands in Abu Dhabi at 1am the next day, and the return leaves Abu Dhabi at 2.15am and reaches Berlin at 7.15am. From 25 October, when Germany moves to winter time, the flight from Berlin leaves at 10am and lands at 7.20pm.
Condor has a codeshare with Etihad Airways, so passengers from Berlin can connect through Abu Dhabi to Etihad's network, and travellers from Abu Dhabi can reach Condor's other destinations through Berlin.
For UAE residents it is a new nonstop way to Germany's capital every night of the week. Fares were not part of the announcement, so compare them on Condor's and Etihad's websites, and check the new timings before booking any trip that falls after 25 October.
