The Dubai International Boat Show is back at Dubai Harbour from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 November, its organisers at Dubai World Trade Centre have confirmed. It is the show's 32nd edition and the city's biggest yearly gathering of yacht builders, brokers and boat owners, held on the water beside Bluewaters and JBR.
The organisers say more than 1,000 brands will take part, with more than 200 boats and watercraft on show and over 60 global and regional launches, from superyachts to small sports boats and personal watercraft. The show is laid out in zones: Superyacht Avenue for the largest yachts, a Marina Display of boats moored side by side, Marine Luxury and Lifestyle, Marine Gadgets and Equipment, a Dive Zone with a dive pool, an Innovation Zone, and Port of Call, a pavilion run by the Italian Trade Agency.
Alongside the boats there are watersports, a lounge for captains and crew, food and drink outlets and a VIP lounge. Most of the show is outdoors along the pontoons, and it opens in the afternoon so that the evening hours fall after sunset.
It is one of two big boat shows in the UAE this month: Abu Dhabi's own boat show runs at ADNEC from 19 to 22 November, the week before.
The show opens at 3pm every day. It closes at 8pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and at 9pm on Friday and Saturday. Members of the public buy tickets on Platinumlist, through the show's own website; the organisers do not list the price on their site, so check it on the ticket page. Entry is free, after approval, for trade visitors with proof of their industry, for boat owners with a boat registration card, for captains with a licence and for divers with a diving licence, each registering through the show's website. For a family visit, the weekend evenings are the longest; for buyers and boat owners, the first two days are usually quieter. Dubai Harbour is next to Bluewaters and JBR, so plan for traffic around the Palm and Marina at the end of the day.
