For visitors with autism and other needs
In October 2025 eight of the municipality's attractions were certified as Certified Autism Centers by IBCCES: Dubai Frame, Children's City, Quranic Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Mushrif National Park, Creek Park, Zabeel Park and Al Safa Park. Staff there were trained to help visitors with autism and sensory sensitivities, and the parks added quiet rooms and sensory-friendly areas. Across the participating parks you will also find adapted playgrounds, parking spaces near the entrances, wheelchair-friendly paths and ramps, priority entrances and, at selected parks, signs in Braille and tactile maps. At Al Mamzar Beach Park, accessible chalets can be booked.
Hiking and cycling in Mushrif
Mushrif is the park for exercise. Its hiking trail, opened on 20 June 2023, is 9.7 kilometres long in two parts: an 8.3 kilometre yellow track for an easy walk and a 1.4 kilometre orange track for fitter hikers. The trail is free to use all year. It has toilets, rest areas, wooden stairs and bridges, signs and staff along the way. Children aged 12 to 15 may hike only with an adult. Carry water and wear proper shoes; fires, cooking, smoking, camping and staying overnight are not allowed on the trail. Mushrif also has cycling tracks; when the municipality opened them to cyclists in August 2020 it set the hours at 6am to 9pm every day, free of charge. Check the current cycling hours at the park, as the park itself now opens at 8am.
