Fairmont The Palm puts five restaurants in one Saturday garden brunch, from Dh350
The Great Garden Brunch runs every Saturday from 1pm to 4.30pm, with the head chefs of Flow Kitchen, Bā, Frevo, Little Miss India and Seagrill Bistro cooking in one outdoor space.
Fairmont The Palm has started a new Saturday brunch for the outdoor season that brings five of its restaurants together in the hotel's garden. The Great Garden Brunch runs every Saturday from 1pm to 4.30pm, and Time Out Dubai reports that the first one was on 24 October.
The idea is to let guests move between kitchens rather than sit at one buffet. The head chefs of Flow Kitchen (the hotel's international restaurant), Bā – Boldly Asian, Frevo (a Brazilian grill), Little Miss India and Seagrill Bistro each cook their signature dishes, with live cooking stations spread around the garden. There is a live singer, a DJ and table-side magic, and the hotel has set up activities for children, so it is pitched at families as well as groups of friends.
There are three packages, per person: Dh350 with soft drinks, Dh450 with house drinks including alcohol, and Dh550 with bubbly. For those who want to carry on, the Great Garden Brunch After Party runs at the hotel's Bask Beach Club from 4pm to 7pm on Saturdays for Dh199 a person, with unlimited select cocktails and wines.
Saturday is the city's busiest brunch day, and most hotel brunches still keep to one restaurant. Putting five kitchens in one place gives a group with different tastes, from Indian curries to grilled meat and seafood, one booking instead of five, and it moves the meal outdoors now that the afternoons have cooled.
To book, use the Book Now link on Fairmont The Palm's website, call +971 4 457 3388 or email Palm.Dining@fairmont.com. The hotel's page does not give an end date for the season or age rules for the alcohol packages; in the UAE, alcohol is served only to guests aged 21 and over, so expect to show ID. The hotel is on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, a short drive or taxi ride from the Palm Monorail's Al Ittihad Park station.
