World Green Economy Summit opens at Dubai World Trade Centre on 21 October

The 12th edition runs on 21 and 22 October, with 135 speakers on energy, water and food security, finance and AI.

The World Green Economy Summit returns to Dubai World Trade Centre on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October for its 12th edition. It is organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and the World Green Economy Organization, WAM reported.

This year's theme is "From Success to Scale: Showcasing the Green Economy". About 135 speakers are due, among them ministers, government officials, business leaders and experts. The sessions are grouped under four headings: energy technology and infrastructure, business strategy and the transition, water and food security, and finance, with artificial intelligence, governance and supply chains running through all of them.

The summit is aimed at people who work in energy, sustainability, finance and government, and attendance needs registration on the summit's website, which DEWA has urged people to do early. It runs alongside WETEX, DEWA's water, energy and technology exhibition, which is at the same venue until 22 October. If you are driving to the Trade Centre on those two days, expect busier roads around the venue, or take the Red Line to World Trade Centre station.
