World Triathlon in Abu Dhabi adds a public run and a kids' race on 21 November

Abu Dhabi hosts the 2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championships on Hudayriyat Island from 13 to 22 November, and two of its races are open to the public with no qualifying. The Kids and Junior Triathlon for ages 4 to 15 starts at 12pm on Saturday 21 November, and a Community Run and Walk follows at 4pm the same day, both at the Velodrome in the Championship Village, according to World Triathlon's event page.

The ten days open with the elite WTCS Abu Dhabi races on 13 and 14 November. Age-group championships follow: sprint duathlon on 14 November, standard duathlon on 15 November, cross triathlon on 17 November, cross duathlon on 19 November and aquathlon on 20 November. The long-distance triathlon and aquabike close the event on 22 November.

The event is organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Modon. Athletes entering the age-group championships register through their own national triathlon federation.

World Triathlon has not yet published distances, entry fees or a sign-up link for the community run and the kids' race. Questions go to info@abudhabi2026.triathlon.org, and the schedule, which may change, is also in the event's official app. Spectators can watch the elite races and age-group events on the island.
