New Apple TV 4K is on pre-order in the UAE at AED 1,199
Apple's fourth-generation Apple TV 4K can be pre-ordered on Apple's UAE store for AED 1,199 and arrives on 13 November. Its new Siri AI does not launch in the UAE at first.
Apple's new Apple TV 4K, the fourth generation of the streaming box, is now listed for pre-order on the company's UAE online store at AED 1,199 including VAT. Apple says it reaches customers and stores from Friday 13 November.
The box runs on Apple's A19 chip, which Apple says gives up to 50 percent faster processing and up to twice the graphics speed of the previous model. It has built-in far-field microphones so Siri can hear you across the room while a show is playing, and it can link four HomePod mini or HomePod speakers into a surround sound setup that tunes itself to the room. The new Siri Remote can be found with Find My on an iPhone.
The headline feature, Siri AI, a new conversational Siri for finding and asking about shows, is launching only in English in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa. The UAE is not on that first list, and Apple has not said when it will be added.
Pre-orders are open on Apple's UAE website and the Apple Store app at AED 1,199. The box comes with the Siri Remote and a power cord; an HDMI cable is sold separately. Delivery and in-store availability start on 13 November.
