Dubai now has 5,931 licensed health facilities, up 7% in a year
Dubai Health Authority figures for the first half of 2026 show more clinics, more licensed health workers and a sharp rise in inspection visits.
The number of licensed health facilities in Dubai reached 5,931 in the first half of 2026, up from 5,541 in the same period of 2025, a rise of about 7%, according to figures released by the Dubai Health Authority on 15 October.
The number of licensed health professionals grew by 6.5% to 70,566, from 66,277 a year earlier. The authority also said its inspection and monitoring visits to health facilities rose by 36.3% compared with the first half of 2025.
The figures cover all licensed facilities in the emirate, from hospitals to clinics and pharmacies, and the authority did not publish a breakdown by type in its announcement.
For residents, more facilities and more frequent inspections mean a wider choice of licensed providers. Anyone choosing a clinic or a doctor can check that the facility and the practitioner hold a valid licence through the Dubai Health Authority's own website and app before booking.
