Dubai Municipality finishes 107 projects worth Dh1.6 billion this year
Beaches, neighbourhood parks, majlis buildings and rural facilities make up the 107 public projects Dubai Municipality has completed in 2026, with beaches taking the biggest share.
Dubai Municipality has completed more than 107 public projects worth Dh1.6 billion so far in 2026, it said on Saturday. The work was carried out by its Public Facilities Agency and covers the Al Mamzar beaches, new neighbourhood parks, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, neighbourhood majlis buildings and facilities in Dubai's countryside and rural areas.
Public beaches took 36 per cent of the money, and beautification, landscaping and farming projects another 22 per cent. The agency also builds schools and community buildings for other government departments, and says it has opened more than 100 places inside public facilities for businesses to rent and run, some set aside for small and medium companies.
Bader Anwahi, chief executive of the Public Facilities Agency, said the value of the work should be judged by "how it improves people's everyday lives", not by the number of projects.
For residents, it means more finished beach and park space to use now, especially around Al Mamzar. Small businesses that want to run a cafe, kiosk or service inside a park or beach can look for the municipality's investment opportunities; the municipality has not published a list of the projects or their opening dates in this announcement.
