flydubai flies to Skopje again from 1 April, with returns from Dh2,800

Dubai is getting a direct link back to the Balkans. flydubai says it will resume flights between Dubai International and Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, from 1 April 2027, and tickets are already on sale.

The route will run three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from Terminal 3. Flight FZ 1763 leaves Dubai at 9.55am and lands in Skopje at 1.30pm local time. The return, FZ 1764, leaves Skopje at 2.30pm and gets back to Dubai at 9.45pm. Both cabins will be on offer: Business Class and full Economy.

Fares published by the airline start at Dh2,800 return in Economy Lite and Dh12,500 return in Business Class from Dubai. From Skopje, the starting fares are 580 euros in Economy Lite and 3,000 euros in Business.

Skopje is a returning destination rather than a new one, and the airline frames it as part of its focus on cities with few direct connections to Dubai. flydubai says the route takes its European network to 34 destinations. It follows recent launches to Bangkok, Benghazi in Libya and Pokhara in Nepal. Because flydubai and Emirates share codes, travellers from Skopje can connect at Terminal 3 to Emirates flights to Australia and Asian cities such as Shanghai and Singapore on a single booking with bags checked through, which the airline expects to bring in members of the Macedonian community living in Australia and Asia.

For residents, Skopje is a compact city break: a capital on the Vardar river, a short drive from Lake Ohrid, and reachable in under five hours. Check your own visa rules before booking, as entry requirements depend on your passport and flydubai's release does not cover them.
