iPhone Duo pre-orders open in the UAE on 16 October, from Dh8,499

Apple's UAE online store will take pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, its foldable iPhone, from 4pm local time on Friday 16 October. The phone goes on sale on Friday 23 October.

Apple's UAE prices, including VAT, are Dh8,499 for 256GB, Dh9,349 for 512GB, Dh11,049 for 1TB and Dh13,599 for 2TB. Every size comes in two colours, Star White and Night Sky, at the same price.

That puts the cheapest iPhone Duo well above the rest of Apple's current phones in the UAE, and it is the first time the company has sold a 2TB iPhone here.

If you want one on day one, the pre-order opens on apple.com/ae and in the Apple Store app at 4pm on 16 October; delivery and pick-up dates are shown at checkout and depend on stock. Telecom operators' instalment plans for the Duo had not been published by Wednesday.
