Porsche's 20-car 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition comes to Icons of Porsche in Dubai
The 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition, made for Kuwait and limited to 20 cars, will be shown in public outside Kuwait for the first time at Icons of Porsche on 21 and 22 November.
The Square Nad Al Sheba, Dubai
A Porsche built around a Kuwaiti weaving tradition is coming to Dubai. The 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition, made to mark 70 years of Porsche in Kuwait, will be on show at the sixth Icons of Porsche festival on 21 and 22 November at The Square Nad Al Sheba. Porsche Middle East says it will be the car's first public display outside Kuwait.
Only 20 examples are being built, and all of them are reserved for the Kuwaiti market, so the Dubai weekend is likely to be the only chance for most people in the UAE to see one up close. The car was unveiled in Kuwait earlier this year.

The design draws on Al Sadu, the Bedouin wool weaving known for narrow horizontal bands, bold geometric shapes and strong contrasts. UNESCO added it to its list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2020. Porsche worked with AlSadu Society, the Kuwaiti organisation that documents and teaches the craft, which supplied the references and the cultural background for the design. The photos released by Porsche show the patterns woven into the rear wing, along the doors and across the red leather seats of a white 911 Turbo S.

The project took several years. Talks started in Porsche's Middle East and Africa office in January 2022, the idea went to Porsche Centre Kuwait in March 2023, and the partnership with AlSadu Society was confirmed in April 2023. The two had already worked together on a Taycan project in 2024. In Kuwait, the dealer and the society are also running short Sadu weaving workshops at the showroom.
Icons of Porsche is the region's largest gathering of Porsche owners and fans. Last year's edition drew more than 30,000 visitors over the weekend and over 1,000 sports cars, and the organisers expect similar numbers this year at the new venue in Nad Al Sheba.

Tickets for the festival cost Dh85 on IconsOfPorsche.com, and children under 12 get in free with a ticketed adult. The Sadu Edition is for display only in Dubai: it is not offered for sale in the UAE and Porsche has not published a price. Opening hours for the two days have not been announced yet.
