Porsche and the Italian espresso machine maker La Marzocco have released a second joint collection, and the UAE is among the places to buy it. The centrepiece is a limited edition of La Marzocco's Linea Micra home espresso machine, dressed in the colours of the 1972 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, with a matching Pico coffee grinder. Porsche Middle East says the machine is available at Porsche Centres in the UAE and at the Porsche Design store in Dubai.

The design borrows heavily from the car. "Carrera RS" lettering and the historic Porsche logo run along the side, the cup rail is shaped like the RS 2.7's famous ducktail rear spoiler, and the black handles are laser engraved with "RS" and "2.7". The pressure gauges are styled like Porsche dials with red and green markings, and each machine carries a magnetic "RS 2.7" badge and a side plaque reading "One of 911".

Two colour schemes are numbered to 911 units each: Grand Prix White with green, and Tangerine with black. A third, Grand Prix White with blue, is limited to 150 machines and sold only in Germany, so it will not be offered here. Under the styling it is a standard Linea Micra, with a three-in-one portafilter, a paddle-style brew lever, an insulated steam wand, a two-litre water tank, LED lights over the cup and control through La Marzocco's Home app. The Pico grinder adds an adjustable magnetic portafilter fork and a hopper that closes itself.

The collection also includes espresso and cappuccino cups, barista towels, coasters, coffee canisters, hoodies, T-shirts, caps, socks and a 1:18 model of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 that comes with a miniature coffee machine. It premiered at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart on 29 October and went on sale the next day.

Porsche's European recommended price is 5,790 euros for the Linea Micra and 1,550 euros for the Pico grinder. Porsche has not published a price in dirhams, and its regional announcement does not say whether the grinder is stocked in the UAE as well as the machine. With 911 of each colour for every market combined, anyone interested should ask their nearest UAE Porsche Centre or the Porsche Design store in Dubai about availability and the local price before travelling to see one.
