Rocambolesco opens at SO/ Uptown Dubai, with a Michelin-starred chef behind the menu
The new Italian restaurant in Jumeirah Lakes Towers has Luigi Stinga as consultant chef and Alessandro Mirabelli in the kitchen, with a Dh85 business lunch.
Rocambolesco, a new Italian restaurant, is now open on the lobby level of SO/ Uptown Dubai in Uptown Tower, Al Thanyah Fifth. Michelin-starred chef Luigi Stinga consults on the menu, and executive chef Alessandro Mirabelli runs the kitchen. The dining room is hung floor to ceiling with bold, playful paintings, and an upstairs Piano Room is due to open fully in the coming weeks.
Dishes to look for include the Rocambolesco parmigiana, baked aubergine with scamorza fondue; C'era Una Volta, a beetroot and gorgonzola pizza; and heritage meatballs slow-cooked in tomato sauce, finished with pecorino fondue and charcoal at the table. There is also yellowtail crudo and spaghetti in Piennolo tomato sauce, and an aperitivo-style drinks list. Happy hour and a brunch are coming soon.
On weekdays there is a sharing business lunch at Dh85 per person and a pizza with a small side salad at Dh60.
