Dubai's 121st open auction of distinctive plate numbers takes place on Saturday 24 October at Hilton Al Habtoor City, with 60 two- to five-digit numbers including BB 80, BB 18 and CC 44.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will put 60 distinctive vehicle plate numbers up for bids at its 121st open auction on Saturday 24 October, Gulf News reported from the RTA's announcement. Doors open at 2pm at the Hilton Al Habtoor City hotel.
The numbers run from two to five digits, under the codes AA, BB, CC, H, U, V, W, X, Y and Z. The two-digit plates include BB 80, BB 18 and CC 44. At the last auction, in December 2025, the 90 plates on offer raised more than Dh109 million.
To bid you need a traffic file in Dubai, a refundable security deposit of Dh25,000 paid by cheque and a non-refundable fee of Dh120. Registration is open on the RTA website and at the Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha. Winners pay 5% VAT on top of the price and must settle within 10 working days of the auction, or lose the deposit. There is no limit on how many plates one bidder can buy.
