TII launches Falcon-Emirati, an AI model that speaks Emirati Arabic
Abu Dhabi's Technology Innovation Institute has released three Arabic AI models, including Falcon-Emirati, which will be available through Falcon Chat.
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the applied research arm of Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council, launched three AI models on 7 October.
Falcon-Emirati is a 7-billion-parameter language model trained for the Emirati dialect, including its vocabulary, expressions and idioms. It is built on Falcon-H1-Arabic and scored 84.83 per cent on the Alyah Emirati Arabic benchmark, ahead of the other open models TII tested. It will be available through the Falcon Chat platform.
The other two are Falcon-ASR, a 1.6-billion-parameter speech-to-text model for Standard and Emirati Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and Falcon-OCR-Arabic, which reads Arabic text, tables and formulas from images and documents.
