Tony Ann, the pianist and composer whose #playthatword videos turned single words into short piano pieces and found a worldwide audience online, makes his Dubai debut at Dubai Opera on Sunday 10 January 2027 at 8.30pm.
His music blends classical training with a modern, cinematic sound. He released the Emotionally Blue, Orange and Red EPs through Decca Records France, followed by the album 360, and co-wrote the US platinum singles Sick Boy and Call You Mine with The Chainsmokers. The string duo Arkai opens the evening.
The concert is presented by Live Nation Middle East, not by Dubai Opera itself.
Tickets are on Platinumlist from Dh229 to Dh499, and the show is for ages 6 and over. Dubai Opera is in Downtown Dubai, a short walk from Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro station.
