Yango adds power bank rentals to its app in the UAE
Yango app users in the UAE can now rent a power bank from about 600 Ray stations in malls, cafes and gyms and return it at any other station.
Yango Group announced on 7 October a power bank rental service inside its app in the UAE, called Yango Power, tbreak reports. It runs on the station network of Ray, a UAE power bank sharing company.
To rent, users scan the QR code on a Ray station with the latest version of the Yango app and pay through their existing Yango account. The power bank can be returned to any compatible station. Yango says starting a rental takes under eight seconds.
There are about 600 Ray stations in malls, restaurants, cafes, gyms and other public places. Ray, which launched in November 2025, has said it aims for more than 1,300 active stations by the end of 2026.
Rental rates were not included in the announcement and are shown in the app. Yango says it plans to bring the service to other markets but has not named them.
