Abu Dhabi home sales reach Dh21.5 billion in the third quarter, up 32%
Savills counted 6,085 residential sales in Abu Dhabi from July to September, fewer deals than a year earlier but worth a third more, with off-plan homes making up 81%.
Homes worth Dh21.5 billion changed hands in Abu Dhabi in the third quarter of 2026, across 6,085 sales, according to a Savills Middle East report cited by Gulf News. The number of deals fell 19% from the second quarter and 7% from a year earlier, but their total value rose 32% year on year.
Off-plan homes made up 81% of sales. The average off-plan deal was Dh5 million, up 40% in a year, against Dh2.8 million for a ready home. Sales above Dh10 million more than doubled from a year earlier to 582, almost all of them off plan.
Average prices rose 9% in a year to Dh22,700 a square metre for apartments and 8% to Dh18,200 for villas and townhouses. Renting was busy too: 50,500 leases were registered in the quarter, 29% more than in the second quarter, and 68% of them were renewals.
For residents, the figures mean rising prices per square metre and a market led by new projects, while most tenants are staying put and renewing. Savills expects about 68,000 new homes in Abu Dhabi by 2030, mainly on Saadiyat, Al Reem, Yas and in Zayed City.
