DIFC lines up four art exhibitions in Gate Village this October

DIFC has set out its October art calendar, with four exhibitions at Gate Village. Christie's Dubai is previewing works from its London sale of art from the Islamic and Indian worlds until Saturday 10 October, spanning roughly 1,500 years of ceramics, manuscripts, paintings, metalwork, textiles and calligraphy. Opera Gallery Dubai hosts a retrospective of Emirati artist Abdulqader Al Rais from 8 to 25 October.

At RARARES Gallery, The Hunt of the Unicorn: Karkadann of Desire runs from 6 to 26 October with work by Chunkook Lee, Marina Baisel and Tatiana Chursina. Tabari opens Fellow Travellers, curated by Omar Kholeif, on 8 October with a reading, tour and chapbook launch, and the show stays up until 30 November.
