Diljit Dosanjh plays New Year's Eve at Etihad Live, his only Gulf date
The Punjabi star brings his AURA World Tour to Yas Island on 31 December, with a countdown to midnight. Tickets go on sale on 7 November.
Etihad Live, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
Diljit Dosanjh will see in 2027 on stage in Abu Dhabi. The Punjabi singer and actor plays Etihad Live on Yas Island on Thursday 31 December, the only Middle East stop of his AURA World Tour, Live Nation Middle East announced. The show runs up to and through midnight, with a countdown to the new year and what the promoter calls surprises along the way.
Fans can expect the songs that made his name outside India, including G.O.A.T., Lover and Proper Patola, alongside music from his latest album, Aura, which gives the tour its title. The concert is presented by Live Nation Middle East with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi and Miral, the company behind Yas Island's attractions.
The date caps a big year for the singer. Gulf News reports that his 2026 North American run drew more than 225,000 people across 15 shows, including two sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden in New York, and that on 12 September he became the first Punjabi artist to headline Wembley Stadium in London. The AURA tour covers about 40 cities on five continents.
For the UAE's large Punjabi and wider South Asian community, a New Year's Eve concert by Dosanjh on home soil is the main event of the season, and his earlier Gulf shows sold quickly. Etihad Live is the open-air venue beside Etihad Arena on Yas Bay, which suits a winter night out.
Tickets go on general sale on Saturday 7 November at 12pm UAE time on livenation.me. Mastercard holders can buy two days earlier, from Thursday 5 November at 12pm. Prices, seating plans and door times have not been published yet; they should appear on the ticket page when sales open. Plan the trip home too: New Year's Eve traffic from Yas Island to Dubai is heavy after midnight, so leave extra time or book a hotel nearby.
