NH Collection Dubai Ibn Battuta opens after the Oaks hotel's makeover
The 396-room hotel beside Ibn Battuta Mall, formerly the Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate, reopens with Benihana, two new restaurants and terrace suites with their own pools.
NH Collection Dubai Ibn Battuta, beside Ibn Battuta Mall
The hotel next to Ibn Battuta Mall that used to be the Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate is now NH Collection Dubai Ibn Battuta, after a renovation carried out in phases. Its owner, the Dubai developer Seven Tides, has handed it to Minor Hotels, which already runs NH Collection Dubai The Palm for the same owner.
There are 396 rooms and suites, from Collection, Superior and Premium rooms to Junior, Family and Terrace Pool Suites, the last with a private terrace and a temperature-controlled pool. Club rooms come with an executive lounge. The new restaurants are Benihana, the Japanese teppanyaki chain, Taste for all-day dining and Nomad, a speciality coffee cafe, alongside the rooftop pool bar, McGettigan's and Rodeo Drive. There is also a gym, a spa, a salon and a kids' club.
For residents, the restaurants and the cafe are the part to know: Benihana and Nomad give the Ibn Battuta and Jebel Ali side of the city new places to eat without crossing town. The hotel has 871 square metres of meeting space for events. Room rates and restaurant hours are on the NH Hotels website; none were given in the announcement.
