Anyma, the electronic music project of the Italian-American artist Matteo Milleri, will open the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend with ÆDEN, his new audiovisual show, at Yas Gateway Park North on Friday 4 December. The night is billed as the official after-party of the race weekend, which runs from 4 to 6 December on Yas Island.
Anyma has built his name on shows where the music and the screens matter as much as each other. His sets mix hypnotic techno with large digital artworks, and he has played the Sphere in Las Vegas as well as major international festivals. ÆDEN is the next chapter after Genesys, the world he built across his earlier shows, and the Abu Dhabi date is one stop on its international run. Ticket listings describe a production built to fill a big open-air site with light and sound, exploring how technology, nature and people meet.
The show starts at 9pm, and the ticket seller's listing names Yas Gateway Park North as the venue. This is the same park that hosts the Grand Prix after-race concerts, a short distance from Yas Marina Circuit, so the night falls in one of the busiest weekends of the year on the island. Fans coming from Dubai should plan for Grand Prix traffic on Yas Island that evening.
Anyma's visit is part of a heavy December for electronic music in the UAE. In Dubai, Pacha ICONS at Playa Pacha and the Penthouse at FIVE Palm Jumeirah have big names booked through the month, but ÆDEN is the largest staged production of its kind on the calendar so far.
Tickets are sold on Platinumlist, from Dh545 for standard entry and up to Dh2,745 for the most expensive category. Entry is strictly for guests aged 21 and over, so bring a photo ID. The listing sells the after-party on its own; it does not say that a race ticket is needed. Set times and the support line-up have not been announced yet.
