Dubai Gold District says its 24-karat gold walkway opens within two months

A walkway made with 24-karat gold is due to open in Dubai Gold District before the end of the year, the district's commercial director says.

Dubai Gold District plans to open a walkway made with 24-karat gold within the next two months, its commercial director told reporters at the weekend. The district bills it as the first of its kind and the longest in the world; its length and the amount of gold used have not been published.

The walkway, first announced as the district's "Gold Street", has been under construction this year, with an opening planned for the last quarter of 2026. The district, which opened in January, has more than 1,000 shops selling gold, jewellery, perfume, cosmetics and fashion.

No opening date or visiting details have been given yet. Entry to the district itself is free, and we will add the date once the walkway's opening is confirmed.
