Indian passports from the four closed centres: where to collect them now

Passports waiting at the closed Dubai Investment Park and Al Majaz centres are now at UW Mall in Bur Dubai; those from Musaffah and Al Reem are at Al Danah in Abu Dhabi.

Indians in the UAE whose passports were ready for collection at one of the four application centres that closed on 22 October now have to pick them up elsewhere. Alhind, which runs the Indian mission's passport and visa centres, said the change took effect on Sunday 25 October.

Passports pending at the Dubai Investment Park centre in Dubai and the Al Majaz centre in Sharjah have moved to the centre at UW Mall in Bur Dubai. Those pending at Musaffah and Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi have moved to the Al Danah centre in Abu Dhabi.

Passport, visa, consular and attestation services carry on at the 12 centres still open across the UAE, from 8am to 6pm. Applicants with an appointment are let in only 15 minutes before their slot.

If you applied at one of the closed centres, go to UW Mall or Al Danah with your receipt rather than to your old centre. Check the latest notices from Alhind and the Indian Embassy or Consulate before you travel, as addresses and hours can change.
