Four Indian consular centres in the UAE close from 22 October
The Embassy of India says centres in Dubai Investments Park, Al Majaz, Musaffah and Al Reem stop working today; 12 others stay open for passport, visa and attestation services.
Four Indian Consular Application Centres in the UAE stop operating from Thursday 22 October, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi announced on Wednesday in a post on X, as reported by Gulf News.
The centres closing are at Bayan Dubai Investments Park in Dubai Investments Park 1, Bel Rashid Towers in Al Majaz 1 in Sharjah, Capital Mall in Mohammed Bin Zayed City in Musaffah, and Wafra Square Offices on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
Twelve centres stay open: Al Danah in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi, Bur Dubai, Al Manakh in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Kalba and Khor Fakkan. The centres are run for the embassy by Al Hind Tours and Travels.
If you live in Dubai's south-west, the nearest open centre in Dubai is now Bur Dubai; in Sharjah, use Al Manakh. Passport renewals, visas and attestation carry on at the 12 centres. If you had planned a visit to one of the four closed centres, check the embassy's or the service provider's channels before you go, as the announcement did not say how existing bookings will be handled.
