UAE weather: rain chances in the east and north this weekend, with morning fog
The National Centre of Meteorology expects clouds and possible rain over eastern and northern areas on Saturday and Sunday, slowly falling temperatures, and fog or mist until Monday morning.
The weekend turns cooler and more changeable, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says in its forecast, as reported by Gulf News. Friday starts warm, fair to partly cloudy, with clouds gathering over eastern areas in the afternoon. On Saturday and Sunday convective clouds are likely over the east and north and may bring rain to parts of those areas. Widespread rain is not expected and no hail has been forecast.
Inland areas stay the hottest, with highs of 35°C to 41°C and lows of 21°C to 26°C. Coastal areas reach 34°C to 38°C by day and stay at 25°C to 30°C at night. The mountains are the most comfortable, at 26°C to 32°C by day and 19°C to 25°C at night, but that is also where clouds build most. Humidity climbs to 90 per cent at night and early in the morning, so fog or mist is possible on the coast and inland until Monday morning. Winds are light to moderate, with gusts of up to 40 km/h inland, and the sea stays slight to moderate.
If you drive early on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, leave extra time, keep a safe distance and follow the speed limits shown when visibility is low. Planning a weekend in Hatta or the east coast mountains? It will be the coolest place to be, but check NCM's latest update on its website or app before you set off, as conditions there can change quickly.
