UAE weather: rain chances and morning fog from Friday to Monday

The National Centre of Meteorology expects clouds and possible rain over eastern areas from Friday, with fog on Saturday morning and showers in the north and east on Sunday.

Unsettled weather continues across the UAE this weekend, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), as reported by Gulf News. On Friday, clouds are expected to build over eastern areas in the afternoon and may bring rain, with humidity rising overnight.

On Saturday, fog or mist may form in the morning, with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Sunday is expected to bring showers to northern and eastern areas, and on Monday the chance of rain moves towards eastern and southern parts of the country under partly cloudy skies.

It stays hot. Inland areas will reach 37°C to 42°C, the coast and islands 35°C to 40°C, and the mountains 28°C to 33°C. Winds of 10 to 25km/h can reach 40km/h on the coast and 45km/h inland and in the mountains, raising dust in open areas. Seas are slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

If you are driving early on Saturday, allow for fog and lower visibility on coastal and inland roads, and on any day expect dust where the wind picks up. Afternoon plans in the east and the mountains are the most likely to meet a shower. No formal NCM warning had been issued in the report.
